New Zealand Catholic Education Convention

Welcome

E te whānau a te Karaiti, tēnā koutou

It is with regret that the NZCEO Board has made the decision to postpone the National Catholic Education Convention in June 2022. This decision was made after consideration of the health and safety and associated financial risks of trying to run a convention within the environment of the COVID-19 pandemic. The majority of the Board felt that a decision to gather so many people together while in a pandemic was not one that was supportive of the common good and the health of our Catholic education community.

While disappointing, the health risk and associated financial implications made the decision to postpone the event till June 2023 a relatively easy and logical one to make. The Board felt it was important to make this decision as early as possible so that organisations and schools are aware of it as budget decisions for 2022 are being made.

NZCEO is very aware of the difficulties and stresses school communities have faced this year and we thank you for the generous and important work you do in support of Catholic education in Aotearoa. We look forward to supporting our Catholic school communities in 2022.

Ngā mihi,

Dr Kevin Shore, Chief Executive Officer
